Skillset in conjunction with Cabonne Council are seeking applications for 2 x Civil Construction Apprenticeships to begin in March 2021. The successful candidates will complete Certificate III in Civil Construction (Plant Operation).

This entry-level opportunity is suited to applicants who are eager to learn, enjoy working outdoors in a hands on role and are keen to pursue a career in Civil Construction industry.

OUR OFFERING:

• You will be allocated a dedicated Skillset Consultant who will support you throughout your Apprenticeship
• At the successful completion of the role you will graduate with a nationally recognised qualification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn the foundations and content to develop skills and knowledge used in the Civil Construction industry
• General Labouring and maintenance for a variety of Council infrastructures
• Operate small plant and equipment
• Read and interpret plans and specifications
• Complete all related TAFE work and attend classes associated with the Apprenticeship
• Adhere to Work Place Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

WE ARE SEEKING INDIVIDUALS WHO:

• Hold Year 10 and above schooling
• Have an aptitude for mathematics 
• Show commitment to the study component of the Apprenticeship  
• Display a keen interest in Civil Construction and pursuing it as a career
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a diverse team, high attention to detail and ability to adapt to changes
• Hold a current Driver's Licence and are able to travel when needed
• White Card or be willing to obtain one before commencement
• Willingness to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical prior to commencement
