Skillset in conjunction with a thriving local concreting business are seeking applications for two Concreting Traineeship opportunities. The successful candidates will complete a Certificate III in Concreting over a 24-month period. Our client provides high quality concrete servicing, to a wide variety of clients across the Central West.  

This entry-level opportunity is suited to people who has a strong work ethic, loves working outdoors, is physically capable of the role and is keen to pursue a long-term career in the Concreting and Construction Industry.  

OUR OFFERING:

• A full time, 24-month placement that will provide formal on the job training
• You will be allocated a dedicated Skillset Consultant who will support you throughout your Traineeship
• At the successful completion of the role you will graduate with a nationally recognised qualification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn the foundations and content to develop skills and knowledge used in the Concreting trade
• Assist qualified tradesman with all aspects of concreting including placing, spreading, compacting, finishing and curing projects
• Use a variety of hand and power tools
• Provide high level customer service
• Adhere to all WHS policies and procedures
• Complete all related TAFE work and attend classes associated with the Traineeship

WE ARE SEEKING INDIVIDUALS WHO:

• Current manual drivers licence or obtaining within the month (essential)
• Year 12 schooling and above
• White Card
• Physically capable to perform tasks required for the role
• Able to work outdoors for long periods of time
• Able to commit to early start times

• Has the ability to adapt to change, work in a fast paced environment
• Has an attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication
• Have an aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Have a keen interest in the Concreting field and pursuing it as a career
• Commitment to the study component of the Traineeship
