As a successful candidate, you will receive a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job and off-the-job experience alongside highly skilled tradespeople. Overview of Roles Electrical: Maintain, install and repair electrical systems and equipment. Work with high‑voltage systems, machinery, automation and troubleshooting while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Mobile Fitter: Service, maintain and repair mobile mining equipment including heavy earthmoving machinery and haul trucks. Automotive Electrician: Install, repair and maintain vehicle electrical components including wiring, lighting, ignition and control systems, using specialised diagnostic tools. Technology & Innovation: Work on analogue and digital electronics and communication systems, including assembly, fabrication, troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic devices. Fixed Plant (CHPP): Maintain and repair stationary processing machinery such as crushers, conveyors, pumps, and related equipment essential to coal handling and processing. Boilermaker: Fabricate, repair and maintain heavy mining equipment, structural steel and worn components using welding, cutting and fabrication techniques to ensure safe and efficient operations. What We’re Looking For To thrive in these roles, you will: Have a genuine interest in mining and your chosen trade Show strong problem‑solving skills, adaptability and attention to detail Demonstrate an understanding of Work Health Safety & Environment (WHSE) practices Be willing to undergo a Coal Mine Workers Order 45 Medical Be at least 16 years old at apprenticeship commencement Be able to reliably commute to site (approx. 40 km north of Mudgee) Want to know more?
