Skillset in conjunction with a local business based in Bathurst are currently seeking applications for a 1^st Year Carpentry Apprentice. The successful applicant will complete a Certificate III in Carpentry over a 4-year placement, whilst receiving formal and on the job training.

This is an exciting opportunity for applicants to commence a role within a growing industry that will provide both on the job experience and study. You will be allocated a dedicated Skillset Workforce Consultant who will support you through your Apprenticeship and at the successful completion of the role, you will graduate with a nationally recognised qualification

This exciting opportunity is suited to a hard-working individual who is eager to pursue a career in the Carpentry industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn the foundations and content to develop skills and knowledge used in the Building and Construction Industry
• Assisting tradesmen with residential, commercial and industrial builds
• Constructing wall frames, roof trusses and ceiling frames
• Install and replace windows and doors
• Use of carpentry tools and equipment
• Safe work practices in the building industry including working safely at heights

WE ARE SEEKING INDIVIDUALS:

• White Card or be willing to obtain a White Card before commencement
• Sound communication skills
• Committed to the study component of the Apprenticeship
• Keen interest the Carpentry trade and working outdoors
• Current driver's license
