Skillset is seeking immediate applications for an experienced Accountant.  This temporary role, based in Dubbo, will provide the successful applicant the opportunity to work with a progressive organisation, that provides services across mining, tunnelling, civil construction and rail industries, this organisation “keep things running smoothly”.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role involves but is not limited to; 

• Maintaining efficient, accurate and reliable records
• Ensuring compliance with financial reporting requirements
• EOM General ledger reconciliation for preparation of financial statements
• Finance accountability for internal and external financial reporting, BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax and Super
• Benchmarking and detailed financial analysis and modelling to ensure best practice including development of dashboards, reports and financial policy.
• Asset and finance management
• Maintaining team workflows and plans for annual financial statements
• Co-ordinating & updating budget templates
• Assisting with financial strategic planning & forecasting
• Overseeing bank & balance sheet reconciliations & GST
• Assist with annual auditing

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Qualified CA or CPA
• A minimum of 3 years in a similar position
• Experience with Xero and Ostendo
• Good understanding of system processing
