Skillset in conjunction with a thriving Lithgow based Private Day Surgery are seeking applications for their new Medical Business Trainee. The successful candidate will complete a Certificate III in Business (Medical), and gain invaluable hands on experience whilst learning from industry experts. This entry-level opportunity is suited to applicants who are hardworking, patient focused, adaptable and ready to join a passionate an enthusiastic team.

Our client is a community owned, not for profit organisation that specialises in Day Surgery across Lithgow, the Blue Mountains and the Central West. The passionate team is eager to nurture the right candidate to achieve great success.

OUR OFFERING:

Excellent career opportunity to join a well-known and Private Day Surgery organisation in regional NSW
A full-time 12-month placement that will provide formal on the job training
You will be allocated a dedicated Skillset Consultant who will support you throughout your Apprenticeship
At the successful completion of the role you will graduate with a nationally recognised qualification

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Learn the foundations and content to develop skills and knowledge used in the Medical Business Administration Sector
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Visiting Medical Practitioners and our clients highly experienced staff
Provide quality customer service to patients, employees and members of the public
Complete a range of operational, clerical and administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the Private Day Surgery and Specialist Centre
Adhere to Work Place Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Complete all related theory work associated with the Traineeship and attend TAFE classes as required

WE ARE SEEKING INDIVIDUALS WHO:

Have a high attention to detail
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload efficiently and effectively
Ability to communicate respectfully, clearly and succinctly with a wide variety of people, both internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
Understanding of and commitment to, providing excellent customer service and maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
Competency in the use of common information and communication technology
A broad understanding of health and medical terminology
Hold a current Driver's Licence
Willing to undergo a Police Check
