Skillset in conjunction with Orange City Council are seeking applications for their new Carpentry Apprentice. The successful candidate will join a team of experienced professionals and will complete a Certificate III in Carpentry, whilst contributing to the infrastructure of Orange.

This entry-level opportunity is suited to applicants who are highly-motivated, active team players, resilient and resourceful, and are eager to pursue a career in the building maintenance sector.

OUR OFFERING:

You will be allocated a dedicated Skillset Consultant who will support you throughout your Apprenticeship
At the successful completion of the role you will graduate with a nationally recognised qualification

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the team in the service, maintenance and minor repairs of a diverse range of commercial buildings
Liaise with a variety of stakeholders and maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism
Work collaboratively and cohesively as part of the Building Services and Maintenance Department
Adhere to Work Place Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Learn the foundations and content to develop skills and knowledge used in the Carpentry Industry

Complete all related TAFE work and attend classes associated with the Apprenticeship

WE ARE SEEKING INDIVIDUALS WHO:

White Card or willing to obtain
Current Driver's Licence (Manual – Essential)
Have an aptitude for mathematics
Show commitment to the study component of the Apprenticeship
Display a keen interest in Carpentry and pursuing it as a career
Have a demonstrated ability to problem solve
Possess a high attention to detail
Are able to adapt to change
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical and Police Check prior to commencing
