Skillset is seeking a passionate and motivated Career Development Consultant to join our supportive, community-focused team and assist in delivering our new Career Connect program throughout the Dubbo and Mudgee regions. Career Connect - funded by the Women NSW ‘Return to Work Pathways Program’ (RTWPP), is designed to support young women aged 17–24 by offering tailored mentoring, work-readiness training and career development services to help them build confidence and achieve sustainable employment. This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, organised and passionate about empowering young women to achieve their career goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Provide one-on-one case management and mentoring to young women Develop personalised career plans and facilitate access to training and skills development Collaborate with local employers and training providers to create employment pathways Connect participants with holistic support services to overcome barriers to employment Track progress and outcomes, ensuring program compliance and reporting ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Proven experience in case management or mentoring, particularly with young people Understanding of the challenges facing young women disengaged from training or employment Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems Current Class C Driver’s Licence Paid Working With Children Check Flexibility to regularly travel across the Orana and Central West region using a company-supplied vehicle, with overnight stays as required DESIRABLE CRITERIA Certificate III/IV in Community Services or a related field Existing networks with local employers, training providers and community services BENEFITS Work for a locally based, not-for-profit community organisation Join a supportive and collaborative team Make a real impact in the lives of young women TO APPLY If you are passionate about helping young people succeed and thrive in training and employment, we would love to hear from you.
